Privacy Policy

In short: Pairbook collects no data. Your setup codes, photos and details stay on your devices and, if you turn on sync, in your own private iCloud, which nobody else can read: not the developer, and not Apple for your codes and details.
What Pairbook stores, and where
- On your device: the codes you scan or type, the accessory names, rooms and details you keep, photos and files you attach, and your settings. They’re protected by your device’s encryption, and Pairbook can lock them behind Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- In your iCloud (Pairbook Pro, if sync is on): the same data, in your private iCloud database, so it appears on your other devices. Setup codes and everything you type are end-to-end encrypted: they’re encrypted on your device with keys in your iCloud Keychain before they’re uploaded. Photos and files are protected the same way. You can turn sync off in Settings at any time.
Apple Home data
If you allow it, Pairbook reads your homes, rooms and accessories to link each code to its accessory. It never changes anything in Apple Home, and this data stays on your device (and in your iCloud with your codes).
Camera and photos
The camera is used only while you’re scanning a code or taking a photo, and only the photos you choose are read. Nothing is uploaded anywhere except your own iCloud, if sync is on.
What Pairbook doesn’t do
- No accounts, no sign-up, and no servers of its own.
- No analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking of any kind.
- No data shared with or sold to anyone.
Purchases
Pairbook Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles payment; the developer receives no payment details.
Exports
The home binder (PDF) and CSV contain your setup codes. They’re only created when you ask, and only go where you send them.
Deleting your data
Delete an entry, or use Settings › Delete All Data. With sync on, deletions reach your other devices and your iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything on that device.
Children
Pairbook doesn’t collect data from anyone, including children.
